The Sun City Center Power Outage
A transformer blew during a July heatwave that hit 108°F, knocking out power to the Sun City Center senior living construction site for two days. Their existing porta potties were in direct sun, baking and unusable. The site manager called us in a panic because his crews were about to walk off the job, and he couldn't afford another delay on the tight foundation pour schedule.
We mobilized our crew and two trucks within the hour. We swapped out the overheated units for fresh ones and strategically placed them in the only available shade from a half-built carport. We also added a hand-wash station with extra water. The crews got back to work that afternoon, and the concrete pour happened on schedule the next morning.
Javi's crew saved our schedule when the power went out; they were the only ones who answered.
